Oinam Nabakshore Singh, former Chief Secretary of Manipur who has been recently transferred as Director General of the State Academy of Training, said that state government has granted permission to his voluntary retirement. He also said, the permission per se reflects that no vigilance case, no departmental inquiry is pending against him.
He, however, said, a local television channel has reported today that his transfer might have been related to the CBI inquiry on the possible financial irregularities of the Manipur Development Society(MDS). Mr. Nabakishore said, he himself had initiated to write to investigate on this matter to state vigilance during the time of the last government and when the new government installed in the state also he had actively played his role to hand over the case to CBI.
